Guy's Night

A few Fridays ago Christopher's dad Dave called him up and told him he had scored 19th row seats to the Jazz game from his boss and of course Christopher jumped right on the opportunity to go. The game started at 8:30pm that night, and Christopher kept saying how he was bummed it was a later game because he wanted to take Dawson so bad. Seeing a fun dad/son activity, and knowing Dawson is on a good sleep schedule and it was a weekend, I told Christopher he could take him if he wanted. that evening Dave swung by to pick up the boys, they headed to tracks, rode it downtown, and had a fun filled evening of basketball. Dawson loving choo-choo trains apparently loved the ride downtown and wanted Christopher to stand the whole time holding him so he could hold on to the ceiling handles and act like a monkey, sound effects and all. From the report I got, Dawson got into the game and was happy and energetic the whole time, talking about the ball, the Jazz Bear (who he kept asking if he could hug,) eating popcorn, and clapping and cheering with everyone in the stand. I woke up to them getting home about midnight, Dawson conked out on the car ride home and curled right up in bed and slept soundly the whole night. I'm so glad all three guys had such a great time and were able to bond doing "guy stuff" as Chris calls it.

**Note** When they left I wasn't sure what to do with myself at first. No house chores needed to be done, no Dawson or Christopher to take care of, no meal to be made, nothing to do!! I was lost! Soon enough my sister and I set out for ice cream and came home and vegged on the couches and watched tv in a nice, quiet, clean house...ahhhh...

It's really too bad we didn't see them there at the game. That would have been a nice surprise!

Never feel lost when the boys go out!!!! That just means it is time for the girls to play! Soon enough you will be waiting for the guys night out! :) Glad they had so much fun. It is neat when the kids get old enough to do fun things with Dad! Glad you had a nice break while they were gone!
