Happy Birthday to Me!!

Two days ago was my 25th Birthday, and it was a perfect birthday! It kind of turned out to be a week long of lots of fun festivities...am I spoiled! On Tuesday I went shopping with my adopted "Mom" Tammy, and she bought me some super cute shirts followed by lunch at Red Robin with the rest of the Olsen/Jesperson clan minus Dave, but he was there in spirit! That night we went out to my favorite restaurant, the Cheesecake Factory with Christopher's fam. YUM! On my actual Birthday I had to take Dawson to Gymboree in the morning and when we came back home there were pink streamers and balloons hung, and a pink cake and presents waiting for me...what a cute Hubby, huh? He also arranged for a babysitter to watch Dawson so we could go see a movie. If any of you haven't see Penelope I would recommend it, very cute. Thanks to Jared we got in free! That night the boys made dinner for me and then yesterday I got to sleep in while Christopher cleaned my whole house. I got a lot of things, but sharing my birthday with friends and family was what really made my day. I love just hanging out with my Hubby and Dawson, and getting lots of Birthday kisses from them!

One Belated Easter Post!

We had a fun Utah Easter this year with the addition of my sister Missy! She came out to visit us and have a Utah spring break and we had tons of fun. We of course had to have a bunch of Easter festivities involved since she was here for Easter as well. I think each year the holidays get to be more fun with Dawson as he gets older and starts to understand how thinks "work" more. This year we went to an Easter Egg Hunt, attempted a picture with the Bunny himself, colored Easter eggs, found baskets on Easter morning, and had lots of yummy food at Christopher's parents house and the Olsen's. Here is a recap of it all in photos:
Wanting nothing to do with the Easter Bunny
Dawson and his friend Addy
Once we showed him you put the eggs in the basket, he knew exactly what he was doing!
My sister Missy and Me coloring eggs
Dawson finding his basket
Dawson was literally tearing into his candy...what a great breakfast!

One Little Monkey

The other day I decided to tackle the laundry that never seems to end, so in went the soap and on went the water. I turned around to clean up some books in Dawson's room that were scattered about, turned back around to start putting clothes in the laundry to find this:
Of Course, he got some no-no's and was pulled down but not until I took a picture. Later that night when Chris got home I said "Guess what Dawson did?" I showed him the picture and a guilty look came over his face. He told me that when he does laundry he puts Dawson on the soap container so he can "help." Little did he know Dawson would take matters into his own hands!

Life With A Toddler...

...is NEVER boring! Here are some of the latest and greatest goofy moments with Dawson...He never ceases to put a smile on my face!
Who needs clothes when you have Dad's hat and socks?
Crawling under the chair in the office did not work as planned...
Goofing around at lunch, making me laugh.
Hiding in the laundry closet.
"Clowning" around!

The older Dawson gets the more and more I am convinced he is a little mini me of his Daddy. He loves to put a smile on everyones face, act goofy, and always has lots of energy!

Yawn...

Eating dinner on a Sunday where you took no nap because church is right in the middle of nap time is exhausting!

Tagged!

I was tagged by my friend Holly, and I tag Andrea, Sarah, Carrie, and Mary.

TEN YEARS AGO:
I was turning 15 at the end of this month. I was a freshman in high school at Crystal Lake Central (in Illinois.) I was very quiet and shy and felt out of place. My best friends were KaLee, Laurel, Katie, and Andrea. I think I wasn't really sure who I was or where I fit in exactly and I was really naive. I sort of believed everyone around be was good like me and that drugs, drinking, partying, and intimate behavior was not such a big thing (again, I was naive.) I really found myself and where I fit in a couple years down the line when I became LDS. If at the time you told me I would of converted, gone to school out in Idaho, got married at 19, and had a little boy right now I would have thought you were nuts!

5 PLACES I HAVE LIVED:
1. Crystal Lake, IL
2. Rexburg, ID
3. Provo, Utah
4. West Jordan, Utah
(That's all!)

5 THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST:
1. First and formost take care of Dawson and whatever he needs
2. Laundry...I swear it doubles when you have a kid...
3. Make a return to Target
4. Check my internet banking
5. Take care of Personal Progress stuff for church

I ENJOY:
Nice weather, being outside and taking walks in the evening when it's nice out. I love when it stays light out til 9pm. I like watching movies on the back of our house with a projector...so fun! I love scrapbooking and have 8 full books. I enjoy reading, baking, and finding new recipes. I like going out to dinner on a Friday night. I enjoy Me, Chris, and Dawson cuddling up in our bed with our pj's on and watching a movie (usually a Disney one.)
The thing I love the most though is being a Mom. I know it might sound cliche to some people, but being able to stay at home and take care of Dawson is so much fun. If I never have to work again, that's ok. I want to be the Mom that drives her kids to school and picks them up, has treats for them, help out at their schools and volunteer. I want to take them to their various activities and be there for everything. I know this is what I was meant to do. I enjoy everyday with Dawson and seeing him grow up and discover things. I love his little laugh, his sweet hugs, and wet kisses.

2 BAD HABITS:
1. Biting my nails. I have my whole life, and probably will.
2. Letting my laundry pile up. I don't mind putting it in and out of the washer and dryer, but I hate folding it and putting it away. Yuck.

5 THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT ME:
1. I have a poem I wrote in high school published in a poem book.
2. I have always secretly wanted to steal bowling shoes. I never will cause I don't steal, but I have always thought it would be fun to have a pair.
3. I have hair extensions. I got the real kind, real hair that is single strands that are attached to my hair. I love them. They give me a couple inchs in length, but really they make my hair looks thick and full cause I have flat, thin, fine hair.
4. I could pretty much quote the entire movie Home Alone. I love it and watch it multiple times during the Christmas season.
5. I love shoes, especially ballet flats. I have about 25 pairs of ballet flats alone.

5 JOBS I HAVE HAD:
1. Julie Ann's Frozen Custard (during high school, it was an ice cream store)
2. BYU-Idaho Bookstore (I stocked their shelves, tagged things, did inventory)
3. Maurice's (clothing store)
4. Zion's Bank (bank teller)
5. Receptionist at Miller Guymon (a law firm)

There you have it, the insides of me! Sorry if it was long and boring! I look forward to reading the people that I have tagged!

Baby...Rock?

Ok, so I dunno if this is something everyone already knows and has buzzed about who has kids, but I found the coolest thing the other day...these CD's called Rockabye Baby! A bunch on music artists like No Doubt, The Beatles, U2, Bob Marley, Green Day, Rolling Stones, Coldplay, The Beach Boys, and many more have taken popular songs of theirs and transformed them into instrumental lullabies for little tots like my own. I LOVE the Beatles one and the U2 one! They are CD's I could listen to and fall asleep to myself. You all should check it out at www.rockabyebabymusic.com. If you go to Albums and then click on one you can listen to samples of the songs....check it out!
